Lemon & Lemongrass: In aromatherapy Lemongrass is used extensively in the treatment of skin, as the oil is anti-bacterial, antiseptic and healing. The scent is also said to soothe the mental stresses which can aggravate the skin. I've added Lemon essential oil from the skin of the fruit, for extra vitamin C and a citrus scent. This is one of my most popular soaps.
Fresh Lime: - Citrus Aurantifolia. The purest, essential oil, bursting with vitamin C, is used, helping to keep the skin fresh and healthy. In aromatherapy it is used to treat greasy skin, but can still be a favourite for dry skin due to its refreshing qualities, The scent is refreshingly clean, popular with both men and women, children seem to love it as well. A great bar for the family. Limes have always been traditionally linked to the coast, sailors at sea for months at a time, ate the fruit to reduce skin problems and scurvy. (hence the nickname "Limey"). Wells is still a working harbour, with the fish brought in on a small number of fishing vessels.
Orange: In aromatherapy orange oil is used for skin repair and regeneration. The oils are taken from kilos of fresh fruit, bursting with vitamin C.
Sea Buckthorn: Bright orange berries bulging with vitamin C. They grow amongst the sand dunes here in Norfolk, and used since ancient times for their healing properties.
