Chinese water are a small deer species with tusks, which are native to Korea and China.
They were introduced to various deer parks in Britain in 1896. Some escaped, and the first wild population was reported in 1945.
Some 75 years on, they are thriving in Norfolk.
They eat farmers' crops and tend to have a slightly higher fat content than the likes of roe deer and muntjac deer.
Lots of people think that as venison goes, Chinese water deer is as good as it gets. It’s a bit like a cross between roe deer venison and lamb.
