This Pinot Noir is made with carefully selected hand-picked grapes grown on low-yielding vines in chalk soil. Fully ripened grapes undergo cold soaking before fermenting to enhance the colour and flavours of the Pinot. They are then fermented on their skins for two weeks to extract a beautiful colour and flavour. Following a gentle pressing, they are aged for seven months in our barrels. The resulting wine is soft and delicate. Hints of strawberries and redcurrant on the nose plus savoury smoky aromas with a satisfying mouthful and a long, harmonious finish. Matches well with smoked sea trout, turkey or lamb.

Tasting Notes:

  • Fruit Forward: This Pinot Noir showcases a bounty of red and black fruit flavours, including cherry, raspberry, and blackberry. The fruitiness is balanced with subtle hints of earthiness, creating a harmonious and complex profile.

  • Smooth and Silky: With a velvety texture and well-integrated tannins, this wine glides across the palate, delivering a smooth and pleasurable mouthfeel.

  • Elegant Finish: The finish is long and elegant, leaving you with a lingering taste of red fruit and a touch of spice.

Food Pairing: This Pinot Noir pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes. Try it with roasted poultry, grilled salmon, or a classic mushroom risotto. It's also a delightful companion to a charcuterie platter or soft cheeses.

Whether you're a wine connoisseur or simply appreciate a good glass of red, this wine is sure to impress with its rich flavours and refined character.

About the Vineyard: A family-run vineyard based in North Norfolk and just a few miles from the coast. Ten acres of farmland have been planted with 17,000 vines. There are nine grape varieties grown including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Bacchus & Solaris. They make the full range of wines; red, rose, white, white & rose sparkling and a dessert wine. The vineyard is south-facing and has a base soil of chalk. It is self-draining and perfect for vines. The grapes are hand-picked and the wine is made at the vineyard.
